The Assen Fortress, Bulgaria!
The Assen Fortress, or Petrich, is the ruins of a medieval fortress with the fortified Church of Our Lady of Petrich.
The Assen Fortress is the most attractive and frequently visited tourist attraction around Asenovgrad. It is located three kilometers south of the city, on a rocky peak on the left bank of the Asenitsa River.
It leads to a panoramic road, which deviates from the very beginning of the road Asenovgrad – Smolyan.
